Power, USB & 12V on an ATV
Adding USB and 12V outlets, a fused accessory block, and keeping the battery alive on multi-day trips.
Quick answer
Run all accessories through one fused distribution block on a switched (key-on) relay. Add a USB-C PD port for phones and messengers, and charge camp electronics from a small power bank rather than idling the ATV.

Plan the circuit
- Fused accessory block on a relay triggered by key-on power.
- Separate, properly sized fuse for every circuit; heated gear and compressors draw the most.
- Weatherproof USB-C/USB-A combo socket near the handlebars.
- Keep the winch on its own heavy cables and contactor as designed.
Charging output
Charging output varies by model. CFMOTO lists 650W for the CFORCE 1000 Overland and Can-Am lists a 650W magneto on the Outlander MAX XT-P 1000R. Smaller machines often have much less; check your owner's manual and keep accessory loads well below it.
At camp
Do not idle an ATV to charge phones. Carry a power bank sized for your messenger, phone and headlamps; recharge it while riding.
