Quick answer

For loaded multi-day trips most riders want 570cc or more, electronic power steering, at least about 5 gallons of fuel, rack ratings near 100/200 lb or more, and a factory winch or winch-ready bumper. Choose a 2-up (Touring/MAX/TRV) model only if you will really carry a passenger; they are longer and heavier.
